The Pennsylvania eHealth Initiative (PAeHI) was created in 2005 as a non-profit organization consisting of volunteers representing private and public entities that bring Pennsylvania's various healthcare, business, and technology industries together to pursue a common mission—to improve patient care through the effective and efficient use of health information technology. PAeHI's Board of Directors acted in June 2014 to temporarily scale back PAeHI activities in order to maximize member/stakeholder efforts towards ensuring the success of the Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership Authority (Authority).
